Types of Tattoo styles

Finding a tattoo artist that speaks to your specific tastes can be a challenge. There is a lot of terms and names for styles out there and they can mean different things to different artists. Below you can find different categories of the work that I am most known for. That doesn't mean your idea has to look like something in these categories, but I've found having visual examples with labels of broad styles can be helpful to clients when discussing their tattoo vision, especially more abstract tattoo concepts.  The main categories I have listed here are Biomechanical, Blackwork, Botanical, and Illustrative. You'll notice there is some crossover between different styles, and I recommend saving the pieces that you like to share with me during our consultation so I can get a better vision for what you're interested in.

Botanical Tattoos

Florals to trees, much of my tattooing is inspired by botanical elements. I approach these in a variety of styles from realism to abstract.

Illustrative Tattoos

A broad label for work that is held together with lifework and classic illustration technique. Not quite realism, not quite cartoon.
